Where: Just inside the Academic Building

[In a wide open hall with banners and a various sundry of celebratory items, the headmaster's rousing speech begins to come to a close.]

In short, you all are here to save our world! There is a threat out there that we must face, but we cannot face it alone. [His demeanor is pleasant, but thinly veiled. His stress is evident in his words, but he is attempting to stay cheerful.] We must do our best to watch over our friends and family and neighbors, no matter who they may be.

We are all responsible for one another. [He lets the silence hang for a moment before letting off and overly cheerful--] HaHa! [Was that a bit forced? Or was it just me?]

Well, guys, it’s time for me t’go, got lotsa stuff to take care of bein’ headmaster and all. But please, get to know one another, go check out classes, and find out where you live on campus! [He gestures to various sections of the room, all labeled with bright colored papers and text.]

I’ll see y’around!

[And with that, the headmaster is off! No, seriously. Watch him go, he’s movin’ fast for such a short guy.]

Erm, Merida, that's my name. [A quick curtsy] I suppose if we're t'attend th'academy t'gether, it's best that we get familiar with each other.

[ What? He takes a moment trying to figure out what's she's saying under her breath with that accent. All he got was something about burning things down. Yikes.

Choosing to ignore that and brush it off, he just goes for smiling and doing a quick slight bow in response to the quick curtsy. ] Mmhm. Probably should. The Once-ler. Nice to meet you, Merida.

Once-ler. [That-- sounds weirder with her accent] I suppose I'll have t'get used t'new names around here. I haven't spotted anyone from my side of th'world yet.

My name's really unique, I know. [ 'Unique' not 'weird.' All important sounding with the 'The' in front of it. Sounds super mysterious. It's memorable. Yep. He likes it now but he still wonders what mother was going for there when his brothers have completely normal names like 'Brett' and 'Chet.' Why mom why ]

Everyone definitely seems pretty spread out all over the globe once you get their introduction. Which side of the world is yours?

I'm from up north in Scotland. Never had much a chance t'go out and explore th'world.


[not for lack of want, of course. but she was tied down to her land]

And just what part of th'world d'you come from?

Scotland, huh? [ Well, that explains the accent. Not that he's ever been there to know but that's definitely the accent. ] What's it like there?

I'm from the valley. [ He motions vaguely. It's right here on this invisible map. ] It's part that big area of Buena Vista where there's more animals than people.

Scotland-- well, I'm really most familiar with DunBroch, where it's wide and open. Lots a'land t'explore and things t'see outside of m'home. Lots of forests and cliffs-- though y'have t'deal with th'occassional bear. [Though that problem has been mostly dealt with]

...So what's it like where you live? I know a bit about th'world outside a'DunBroch, but I'd love t'hear more.

Sounds like a nice place to wander around in. Is your occasional bear a big bear or the little bear? 'Cause I have a ton of occasional little bears where I'm at. ...Or there was a ton, at some point. Hm. Little annoying super cute bears that don't act like regular bears.

Where I live is this- [ holds his arms out ] - biiiiiig beautiful area filled with hills that's covered with these fluffy trees called Truffulas.
