[In a wide open hall with banners and a various sundry of celebratory items, the headmaster's rousing speech begins to come to a close.]

In short, you all are here to save our world! There is a threat out there that we must face, but we cannot face it alone. [His demeanor is pleasant, but thinly veiled. His stress is evident in his words, but he is attempting to stay cheerful.] We must do our best to watch over our friends and family and neighbors, no matter who they may be.

We are all responsible for one another. [He lets the silence hang for a moment before letting off and overly cheerful--] HaHa! [Was that a bit forced? Or was it just me?]

Well, guys, it’s time for me t’go, got lotsa stuff to take care of bein’ headmaster and all. But please, get to know one another, go check out classes, and find out where you live on campus! [He gestures to various sections of the room, all labeled with bright colored papers and text.]

I’ll see y’around!

[And with that, the headmaster is off! No, seriously. Watch him go, he’s movin’ fast for such a short guy.]

[Aisling gives her a considering look at that.]

So...what happens in winter? Does everything stay awake?

I suppose so, yes. I can't imagine that the inside would get cold enough to cause the plants to stop growing and blooming.

[There's a brief pause.]

And... do you think that's a good thing?

I don't know. Everything needs to rest sometimes. I don't know what things do without winter.

You do realize there are plenty of locations on the map that don't experience a cold winter, no?

Much of the Middle Kingdom doesn't, and there are literally thousands of plants that need such weather. Besides, the other sort of plants will do just fine so long as the gardeners keep the soil fertile and keep everything watered.

...Are you sure? I've never heard of a place without it!

I can do that. I think. If it's a dome, how does the rain get in? [Sprinklers, Aisling.]

You should visit the Middle Kingdom sometime. I think you would be quite surprised.

[Oh. Well.... hm. This is one Jasmine isn't quite sure of.] If it is anything like the palace gardens in Agrabah, I suppose they are watered through some sort of irrigation.

I don't think I will. As soon as this is over, I'm going right back to my forest.

[Aisling nods, even though she has no idea what 'irrigation' is. She's done admitting she doesn't know things.]

[Well then.]

What is your forest like? [Being rather unworlded herself, Jasmine is curious, though the question doubles as an attempt to further smooth over their previous clashing.]

[Aisling bounces, perking up.] Beautiful! The most beautiful forest in the world, of course, because it's mine. It stretches on for ages. It's filled with the best animals, the fierce wolves and fast deer and clever foxes.

[Well, well, well. This is certainly a change.]

It does sound very impressive, far more than the forests here on the island.

Though you'll have to be the judge of that; I don't think I'm qualified enough to have a final say on that.

[Endless dunes of sand are what she's used to seeing stretch beyond the city of Agrabah.]

...I might look at those trees later. [She doesn't even want to qualify them as 'forests'.]

I think you might enjoy yourself. I have found that being away from the land I am used to makes me appreciate it all the more.

...Though, if I remember right, one of the nearby forests is off-limits. You may need to look into that before venturing off.
