Shifu hadn't really answered the question. Jack frowned, watching the old panda as he turned away. He didn't miss the drooping ears, or the way the conversation suddenly shifted back to the bump on his head without anymore elaboration.

"I'll keep it on," he said absently, still puzzling over Shifu's reaction as he climbed to his feet. His eyes shifted back up to the scroll on the wall - and then down again.

"If - I had a teacher," he began, picking over his words at a careful pace, "I think I'd miss him if he left. That's all."
